Testing to see how Tumblr handles these comic pages…
I think one of my earliest freelance gigs was to do some pages for a comic adaptation of an independent movie. I did some OJT work for the company before that, which was how I got asked to do it.
In hindsight, I don’t think I did very well. I had a lot more rejected pages than approved ones, and I ran way over the deadline. I have to say I learned a lot from it though, more than anything I’ve worked on before that time - composition-wise, proportions, work-ethic-wise etc.
Fast Forward some years later, and it’s finally coming out. I’m not sure if the comic will be coming out at the same time as the movie though (I do hope so), but I can’t wait to pick it up when it does. I honestly don’t remember which pages made the cut…I’m not even sure if the one I posted is included. XD
If you have time over the weekend, do check out the movie. It’s a good story and is well made. It should be worth your while.
